| SSEL1 are required for on-field support of computer hardware, peripherals and desktop OS. Depending upon expertise and experience, they may be assigned facility management jobs. Candidates must be humble, hardworking and honest, must have an aptitude for service, must be co-operative, adaptable for team-work, truthful and hungry to learn and grow.

2. Candidates with experience of less than 1 year in desktop hardware are welcome.
3. Candidates with Microsoft / Red Hat certifications can directly apply for SSEL2 position for helpdesk support. People with ONLY CISCO certifications may not apply.
We do not want people with an engineering degree for this position.
Most of our support incidences are software related on client Operating Systems such as Microsoft Windows XP, 2000, Vista or Server OS like LINUX or Microsoft Windows Server. Hardware failures are rare. That is why our hardware engineers are in reality, Systems Support Engineers.

SSEL1 are internally trained to become SSEL2 as per their aptitude. As and when you graduate to SSEL2, you would be able to independently:
• Assemble PC, backup & restore data & enable migration.
• Maintain and troubleshooting of standard desktop hardware and software.
• Install and configure printers, modems, scanners, camera and other peripherals.
• Install & configure popular applications and anti-virus software.
• Set right failed installations, OS problems and device drivers.
• Setup peer-to-peer networking within workgroup configuration.
• Share IT infrastructure such as printers over network.
• Install, configure and trouble-shoot wireless routers.
• Share internet connection over DSL in bridged and routing modes.
• Configure mail accounts on the different mail clients such as Microsoft Outlook & Outlook Express.
• Implement “FortunePC Best Practices” for customer organization.
SSEL1 & SSEL2 report to Chief Engineer.
An SSEL2 shall be expected to rise to the level of Senior SSE SSEL3 as he develops competencies of:
• Troubleshooting heterogeneous, complex, network problems.
• Designing topology, installation and configuration of Networks.
• Planning & commissioning optimum Network Operating System deployments; creating and maintaining Users, Groups, Policies with data migration & rights assigning, backups and restore policy planning & implementation, monitoring and disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Advanced independent implementation of at least one of Microsoft Exchange server, Linux data, mail, proxy servers, Clustering, SQL server and setting up processes for monitoring and reporting.
• Plan and enhance “FortunePC Best Practices” stack.
• Be able to solve effectively, every problem that juniors have difficulty closing.
• Be able to develop strong interpersonal skills for client communication and conflict resolution.
• Get certification from leading technology vendors such as Microsoft, Red Hat.
SSEL3 is expected to grow in R&D where he shall test, implement & fine-tune technologies and setup processes and reporting systems for smooth functioning and implementation of technology at client site/s. |
