Job Purpose & Scope
The Multimedia Programmer works under the direction of the Manager of Instructional Design and is responsible for coding new and existing web and computer-based courseware. The Multimedia Programmer works closely with the Instructional Design Manager and team to modify code to fit custom client needs and off-the-shelf CBT development.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
•Develops, integrates. and packages computer-based instructional materials to meet customer and employee training requirements
•Meets with ID manager to discuss and clarify assignments
•Works with the ID Team to determine the objectives of the CBT content flow, functionality and requirements
•Meets with the IDs to discuss storyboards or scripts, and plan training materials

Job Entry Requirement
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

•Programming in Flash action scripting, JavaScript, XML, HTML, DHTML, and other web-based technologies
•Building and integrating e-learning courses using CBT authoring tools such as Flash, Captivate, Articulate, Lectora, and Dreamweaver
•Integrating server based technology with Flash (JSP, ASP, or PHP)
•Working with Content Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, and other web-based applications
•Knowledge of e-learning compliance standards such as SCORM and AICC
•Desktop publishing tools including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Professional
•Demonstrates ability to quickly adapt to changing demands
•Must be efficient and comfortable in interacting with clients and SMEs
•Exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills
•Ability to communicate orally and in writing, including demonstrated writing ability in English
•Ability to determine appropriate level of complexity for target audience
•Ability to gather and assimilate information relevant to preparing course

Required Education
•Graduate in software development or related computer programming discipline
Required Experience
•2-3 years working for an e-learning company or courseware development unit
•Prefer work experience with a training or information technology organization

Desired Skills & Abilities
•Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory principles
•Experience in Information Mapping or using single sourcing tools, such as AuthorIT
•Experience in a healthcare-related environment a plus
•Experience in working with US-based customers or peers
